Great location, perfect hotel if you are happy with basic facilities. Bed, bathroom and a balcony, all you need if you just want somewhere to stay for few nights, without wanting to spend hours sat in a your hotel. Comfortable enough bed, hot shower, and clean room. But I would advise to take your own towell, as one supplied was small! Saw 3 different staff members during my stay, and all were pleasant and polite and made for a friendly welcome and check out. As I am aware of how Amsterdam hotel stairs are, I used a bag storage company, Bounce, where you can leave suitcases for €5 per day. I would highly recommend this as I would not have wanted to get my case up 4 flights of stairs!! Bounce use a shop literally 2 doors away from hotel. Great value place to stay, I would definitely stay here again.

I accidently booked this hotel and was panicking after reading everyone's reviews. had the review already written in my head on how this was the worst even for someone with slim standards like me. BUT - this place is fantastic. the staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the location is superb and that balcony is a life savior :) My room had a big bathroom with no leakage, even had my room cleaned after the 2nd night. no bed bugs! The stairs are completely like any other place the NL that doesn't have a lift. I'm 38 - was on the 4th floor - absolutely no issues. Yes, my window didn't close very well and the whole complex is very old, but you get what you pay for and the pluses transcends the minuses.

Location was superb, in reach of all major transport and with access to good places to eat, etc. The view from our room was amazing, looking down from the 4th floor into Raadhuisstraat with our own balcony - heard the church bells in the early evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were a few useful vending machines in the foyer too. Room was serviced every day which we didn't expect. A safe was provided for passports etc. and there were charging points for cell phones etc. Felt very safe there. Although not quite as smart as we had anticipated we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Really good location, lovely boutiques and cafes around, quite chill area compared to the rest of Amsterdam but not far at all from the center, busy areas or the main train station maybe about a 10-15 min walk, communal balcony available for smoking, we also chose a room with a private balcony which we enjoyed. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is our second time staying here and we wouldn’t go anywhere else we love the charm of it but it’s not for everyone.

My experience at this hotel was a good one. Indeed, the furniture in the room is older, but the bed and the bathroom were very clean. The staff is very kind, although I booked a single room with a balcony, at the reception I received a double room with a balcony at no additional cost. If you have too high expectations, you will be disappointed. Location is perfect ! Very warm room! I recommend!
